I'm offering one of the most interesting, yet the most controversial Christian fiction books to come out in a long time. Just take a look around the internet and you can see how much debate there is about this book. I have read it, and personally, it made me think about my faith in an entirely different way, and it made me read the Bible more.
The Shack by William P. Young
Mackenzie Allen Philips' youngest daughter, Missy, has been abducted during a family vacation and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Four years later in the midst of his "Great Sadness," Mack receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to that shack for a weekend. Against his better judgment he arrives at the shack on a wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare. What he finds there will change Mack's world forever.

I work at a bookstore and this book is so popular!! I would love to win it :)
Mack receives a note from God? Then he acts on it? This alone makes me want to read the book, to see what happens when he follows God's note's instructions. Was it really a note from God? Perhaps I can find out if I win the book. Please enter me in your drawing. I will be watching for the winner on the 2nd of August, but we will be gone for several days after that, back in time for the next weekend, the 9th and after. Thanks so much.

I've never heard of the book.
I think that, as Christians, it's okay to question God. (which I guess is what the controversy is?!?!) David questioned God all the time, but was called "a man after God's own heart."
I want to read it for myself to make an opinion about it

I have not read it, but I like things that challenge my faith. I think I have a tendency to take my faith for granted, and I having a reason for your faith is a good thing. kristiem10 at hotmail dot com.
Two of the best books I ever read were "This Present Darkness" and "Piercing the Darkness". There was also a lot of controversy concerning them at the time. I would like to read "The Shack" to judge for myself.
