Giveaway Day 5

Today's Book is Deep in the Heart of Trouble by Deeanne Gist, from Bethany House Publishers

The last time readers saw Essie Spreckelmeyer, she was courting trouble.

Four years later, she's wearing bloomers, leading the Corsicana Velocipede Club, and running her father's oil company—and she couldn’t imagine trading any of it. Even for a husband.

Tony Morgan, the disinherited son of an oil baron, arrives in boomtown Corsicana, Texas, with the intention of rising to the top and proving himself to the world.

His new job with Sullivan Oil, however, finds him butting heads with a headstrong blonde who contradicts his orders, drafts him to represent the company in a bicycle race, and tangles with his ambitions.

Is love around the corner, or are they deep in the heart of trouble?

Oops! Sorry...posted and realized I forgot part of it, so deleted and am starting over.

I don't have this book yet and would love to win a copy. Thank you for the opportunity! Miralee miralee at gorge dot net

Also, I have at least 350 books that I have read, and at least 100 that I haven't read yet. Too much time writing lately and not enough reading, but I'l slowly working through my TBR pile, LOL!

"Courting Trouble" was such a fun book, and this one sounds like it will be a fun read, too!
I probably have about 10 books in my house right now that I haven't read, but believe me, they WILL be read! lol I am working my way through them (some on loan from my mother), and trying to keep up as inter-library loans keep coming in. It's a good problem to have too many books to read! I hate when I have nothing to read.
Thanks for this great giveaway!

How many books I HAVEN'T read? Hmmm, counting the ones I buy at the library discard sale just because they're too good a deal to pass up, I'd say 20 to 30.

This sounds like a fun read-- I love fun reads!

Blessings,

Eileen

Hmmm...books I haven't read in my house.

That would be 21. They're all my husbands books to do with accounting or Linux or other yucky stuff.

Reading books...none. I've read everything I could get my hands on, including my seven-year-olds books!

This is a fabulous book and author! I'm so glad I have a copy. EVERYONE should read and enjoy her work.

I have a library, instead of an office with the wall lined with bookshelves. Some I've read fully through, some only parts. There are also boxes of books that my dear hubby made me pack up because they are on a lesser scale of importance and take up too much room. Then the favorite. There is a single bookshelf in my room and the entire set of four shelves is of books on my TBR list. *sigh* slightly a book junkie. :)

Pamela J said...

Oh my! (Red faced) I do have several more than I'd like to admit out loud. I just bought a large box almost full of books at a very good price that I have to include. Maybe 150? Can I count the 4-in-one books as one or four? That cuts the number down by 33. Does that count Bible Study books too? A friend bought a stack for our ladies to go through eventually. No, I won't count them too. I am going to take the books as I read them to our Church building's shelves. We don't have a library or book exchange yet so that is the plan for all these in my house soon. Does that make my red face a lighter shade, to pink? Oh well. There you have it. Please enter me in the drawing today. Thanks bunches.

P.S. I think I would be lost if I had no books waiting to be read.

Oh this one is on my WL.

As for books I haven't read, that would be a roomful. My guest room has 5 chest high bookshelves full of books a couple shelves of which are keepers, but most of which are waiting TBR. I can't scan them quick enough, LOL.

Ooo, this one's on my WL! I want to read it so badly! :)

Hmm, books that I haven't read? Probably 50+! My roommate gets upset with all the boxes of books stacked all over the place, but I share, so it's okay!

Thanks for offering the giveaways!

Oi! I have a closet full of them. Hundreds, but even though I haven't read them all, my mom and best friend have read many of them.

Still, I'd like to win DeeAnne's latest book, since I've read her other ones.

I would love to read this book. I have been anxiously awaiting it after reading the first. I love Deanne's books.

Oh, forgot to put how many books I haven't ready on my shelf. I'm guessing I have about 50 on my shelf not read. I keep adding to the list of course all the new ones that come out and I just have to read.

I just read this book this evening! I really enjoyed it...what a delightful story!
Hmmm, hard question. i have not counted all my books recently, but they fill one wall in a large room, besides 4 other bookshelves and some not unpacked yet. I have read probably at least 3/4 of them, some of them more than once.

All right, I'm only willing to admit this publicly because I want Deeanne's book. I moved recently, and my unread books are still in boxes. I just did the math, and I have approximately 920 unread books. In my defense, about 40 of them are nonfiction. I dream of my retirement years, cozying up on the sofa with my printed "friends," living out fantastic adventures in other places and times.

Still, I want very much to read Deeanne's books now, because they sound like FUN historicals, which are what I'd love to try writing!

Well, I have more than I should. This is a point of contention between my husband and myself. He finally had to build bookshelves for me in the garage, yes I am now invading his space. I think about 50.

A rough estimate of unread books in various places in my home would be 200, but that's probably too low! I used to keep most books after I read them, but by age 60, I realize that I'll never read them again.

This book sounds so good and the cover just draws me in. Thank you for the opportunity to win a copy.

Only the ones I actually have that I haven't read is probably around a hundred but it looks like I'm in good company here. However my WL of TBR books is probably twice that at least.

But this is one of them as I love historicals and have it on good authority that this is a great author.

Thanks for the contests.

I also have about 50 unread books and those would just be the ones that I would actually like to read at some point that doesn't include unread books in my house that are for my kids, husband or in-laws. I start to feel frantic if I start running low on TBR books! But I've been going through them at the rate of 1 or 2 a day since I'm 2 weeks overdue and just biding my time til baby gets here.

I loved the first book, Courting Trouble, and I can't wait for this one. My library must wonder about all the books I devour.

My own books though... If I count only my bookshelves, I'd say twenty or so. But if I'm counting my parents' and sister's... then it ups into many hundreds. We tend to disagree on genres. :-) Though my mom is looking forward to this book too.

God bless!

I have 16 1/2 full-size bookshelves in my house, so that equates (I think) to probably a couple thousand books I haven't read yet. Of course, that's not all fiction as my husband and I are book nuts and we collect nonfiction history books all the time.
