The Year of Magical Thinking

Ok...so maybe I'm just a loser when it comes to books, but what was so special about this one? I found it incredibly tedious to make it through, and it's actually a very short book.

I should have been able to relate to it a little bit. Joan Didion loses her husband suddenly to a heart attack, and the book chronicles her year of movig through the grief.

But really, it just goes on and on, repeating itself on occasion, and just just didn't do it for me.

I'm glad to have knocked it off the tbr shelves, but other than that, bleh.

This has been on my to-read list for awhile. You should stop by The Book Nook, a blog I contribute to. We objectively review all kinds of books, and we're starting monthly book discussions in May. Just click on my profile to see it if you're interested.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, and good luck with all the contests.

I didn't mind it at all, but to be honest, I didn't even finish it. I got busy 'growing a baby' and all that 'stuff', and I forgot to finish it. :)

I do know that a lot of other ladies in my book group weren't a fan either. :/
