I still have two more to write up. Finished the Birdy book and now I've moved on to Distant Echoes by Colleen Coble for Christian Library Journal.

Went to Portland yesterday and went to the Wordstock festival. What a fun event. Next year I'm going to make better plans, plan more in advance so I can go to more of it. Even the kids enjoyed themselves, which surprised me. We got to see David Shannon, who is one of my kids' favorite authors. Saw a little of Meg Wolitzer, but the topic of her latest book isn't exactly kid-friendly, so we moved along. Looked at lots of booths, spent way too much money on books. Hubby bought two hardcover, signed Clive Cussler books, and I got the latest two Elizabeth George books in hardcover, signed. We were drooling over all of the great books they had.

Wish I could have seen the authors today, but it just didn't work out with church and everything. After we went to Wordstock yesterday we went to Lloyd Center mall and wandered around a bit. Grace was enthralled with the ice skaters, she didn't want to stop watching them. Then we went to The Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner. Later on watched Ocean's 12, which was no where near as good as the first one. Loved the part with Julia Roberts's character impersonating Julia Roberts, that part was hilarious. Otherwise, it was just--eeh, ok.

Friday night we had fun with our bbq, but after we got done eating the black clouds moved in and we had a huge windstorm, then torrential rain. It was cool to watch. We ended up on Jenny's back deck with the fire chimenea going and the kids roasted marshmallows there. It was really fun, despite the weird weather.
